The sangeet is a pre-wedding event intended to be a night of much dance, singing, and love. Irrespective of whether you choose to wear ethnic or Western clothing, we want you to bring your most fashionable self (and your dancing shoes, of course!)
Gaye Holud (Haldi) ceremony is a pre-wedding ritual where a paste made from turmeric, sandalwood, and other aromatic herbs is applied to both the bride and the groom. Yellow is considered auspicious and symbolizes purity, prosperity, and happiness, The classic choice is to embrace yellow traditional dresses, from pale pastels to vibrant shades.
The wedding ceremony is meant to be formal and traditional. For attire, women can choose to wear sarees, lehengas, or salwar kameez. Men can wear sherwanis or kurta pyjamas with a matching jacket or waistcoat.
The reception is usually more relaxed than the wedding ceremony, and guests should dress accordingly. Women can wear cocktail dresses, gowns, lehengas or sarees and men may opt for suits or dressy traditional attire.
